Robotic Valve Bag Placer - HamerIf you’re reading this, chances are you’ve been in a valve bagging facility. And you know this is one of the most labor intensive and demanding jobs out there.  It’s work that’s done in really dirty, challenging environments. If you want to reduce the amount of time your guys spend in this environment, and still maximize production. A robotic arm is the best way to do go. That’s what you see here –  our latest automation design, the Model 2400 Robotic Valve Bag Placer.

This machine automates the placement of valve bags onto most valve bag fillers, with one of the fastest robots in the industry.

We’re going to show you how it runs, but before we do that, let’s take a moment to talk about our bag carousel. This is what we do differently, and what really sets us apart from our competitors.

One of the things we wanted to tackle with this design is the amount of time it takes to do bag changeover. The way we’ve done that is with our Live Load bag carousel. This is a high capacity system that can store up to 400 bags of different sizes at once. Different sizes. You don’t need to make any adjustments to switch between bag sizes once they’re loaded. No adjustments. No tools. No downtime.

When it does come time to re-load bags, this can be done safely, from this side of the cage, while the robot is still running consistently.

That’s how you get the highest production. Consistency. And that’s what customers who have this machine are doing. They’re telling us they’ve never seen throughput like they’ve seen with this machine.

It doesn’t matter how fast you go when you’re doing this manually. You don’t have the same consistency. Your guys have to take a break. This robot doesn’t.  With other machines you have to have downtime to safely reload bags. The 2400 keeps running while you reload, and automatically switches between bag sizes. What that means is 25% more production at the end of the day.

And that’s what it’s all about. It’s not about the bags per minute it’s about the final throughput at the end of the day.
